MTV336 Analog TFT LCD Controller Development
 General Description:
MTV336 provides an integrated solution to convert CCIR601/CCIR656/CCIR1302/24-Bit RGB/18-Bit RGB digital parallel video signals to analog TFT panel interface. CCIR656 signals are first decoded and converted to RGB color space and H/V are also extracted. The video signals of RGB further go through contrast, brightness adjustment and scaling down engine. Then MTV336 provides an OSD mixer before gamma mapping. A gamma correction function can be programmable for RGB signals. Three on-chip DACs convert the digital RGB signals into analog signals to drive the analog panel. The input clock generating internal clock are fed into Timing Controller and generate the necessary controller signals for analog TFT panel.
There are also four PWM DC to DC controller on MTV336. MTV336 has I2C interface to fine tune the display characteristics. The I2C can be set optionally as either slave or master by M/S pin. When configured as slave, the internal control register can be set by I2C interface. When configured as master, the settings of the registers are obtained by reading an EEPROM connected on the I2C interface.
The MTV336 includes two chips with different package types. MTV336AG is packaged with an 80-pin LQFP outline and MTV336BG would be with a 64-pin LQFP.
