| 2005.04.06 Myson Century Reinforces its Voices-over-IP SoC Solutions -- With integrated VoIP and Ethernet Networking Application Chipsets, CS6220/21/22
|
Myson Century Inc., a provider of silicon solutions for IA peripheral/LCD Monitor products now provides Voice-over-IP (VoIP) chipset CS6220 under this license agreement with Netergy Microelectronics Corp. The total package contains not only silicon itself, but also the software stack, reference designs, and customer support. CS6220 has formally launched in Jan., 2004, and the cost-down new products, CS6221/22, will enter mass production by end of April, 2005.
CS6220 is a high-performance SoC chipset, with embedded 32-bit RISC CPU (with extended DSP function). The integrated dual Ethernet 10/100M MACs for LAN and sufficient embedded SRAM altogether eliminate the demand for external SDRAM. In virtue of its unified RISC/DSP processor, CS6220 offers superior audio quality over IP network at consumer price values. All of the industry standard call control protocols deployed in VoIP networks today, such as SIP RFC3261, H.323, MGCP, SIP, and Megaco, are fully implemented in the software stack.
CS6220/21/22, Myson’s high-performance chipset series, offer manufacturers an ultimate and cost-effective solution for either entry level VoIP gateway or VoIP phone applications. | |
